There have been several articles written earlier on the worst conditions of the Angwan wari workers and helpers in the country. The news item appeared in a section of press , the Minister of Social justice and empowerment , Himachal Pradesh, stated that she has takn up the matter for the enhancement of honerareum to the workers and the helpers with the Central Government in a meeting at New Delhi to the tune of Rs.4000/ per month for Workers and Rs.3000/- to the Helpers. This recomendation from the state Government is baseless keeping in view the duties and the responsibility given to them at the grass root level in the villages for the help of small children and pragnent women in the socieity. It may also be brought to the notice of the Central Government that a news item appeared on 5.5.2010 from the side of Sh. Vir Bhadra Singh, Hon'ble Central Government Sleal Minister. that the matter for the enhancement of salary of the Angwanwari Workers and Helpers in the country . The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India has principally agreed for the enhanement of salary of these employees instead of honerareum and are being proposed to be treated as Government Servants. This News item appeared in Divya Himachal ( daily ) Hindi News paper on 5.5.2010. The public and these employees in the country waiting the final nob from the Central Cabinet as mentioned in the News Item. Therefore, an immediate action at the level of Centra Government must be taken as early as possible.As it is aware to all the functionaries in the State and Central Government level that the honerareum being provided to the Anganwari workers and helpers is quite less and their service conditions are also not favourable to them. I have brought this fact to the notice of the authrorities several times through my blogger.com but nothing is being done to these workers and helpers. The political parties are expoiting them now and then for their selfish motives by onganising rallies , dharnas and processions against the State Governments and that of Central Government throughout the country. In Himachal Pradesh, the Govt. have changed the promotion rules of the anganwari workers which is quite unfortunate. Their promotional quota should remain 90% as it was ealier to the post of Supervisors. So many posts of supervisors are vacant and are not being filled up . The salary instead of honerareum should be termed to them and at least 6000/- per month to the workers and 3000/- to the helpers. At the grass root level they have been entrusted multiple duties and burdened with heavy work. They should be declared as Government servants and pensionary benefits should be given to them besides all other service conditions as a Government Servants.
