In the budget for the year 2016-17, the dreams of Himachal Pradesh in respect of construction of Railway lines have been defeated . The people of Himachal Pradesh being a peaceful State, are suffering for their peacefulness as no name of the State has ever been figured in the main budget news for the last 69 years of independence in Railway Budget. The only publicity is done when elections are to be held and thereafter every announcement remained in papers in the Government of India Railway Department.

              Not on this in respect of Railways, there is no any big domestic as also International Airport in Himachal Pradesh. The proposal for the construction of International Airport at Kandaghat , in District Solan, has since been rejected by the Central Committee as no sufficient land is available for the purpose and there are other problems also.

                I have several times brought it to the notice of the authorities of Himachal Pradesh Government as also to the notice of  Government of India  , even to the Prime Minister of India that there is a idle and sufficient land available for the construction of International Airport, at the Boundary Bilaspur ( Tehsil Ghumarwin ) District H.P. and Hamirput ( Tehsil Badsar ), District H.P. at SUKKAR GHATI , right from Jhorghat to Ghori Dhabiri .

                 Now it is upto the Government of India that both the projects such a Railways and International Airport should be sanctioned at the earliest possible.
